Zaxel ships 4K 10 bit 120P Player

Santa Clara, CA (April 19, 2013) — Zaxel has added the capability to play back 4K DPX files at 120 frames a second to the popular Zaxtar 5 DPX player.

Zaxtar 5 has been very popular for use at post production, museums, and theme parks, since it is the only 4K player that can output 10 bit RGB 444 at 60P. It is also the lowest priced uncompressed video server, and can play back DPX files and TIFF files directly without encoding, so the last minute changes to the contents is possible without taking much time.

At 120 Hz, people will not notice any motion blur even very fast moving sports scene or computer graphics animation will not see any chopped motions.

Since 4K 120 Hz displays have appeared in the market place, we expect Zaxtar 5 to satisfy customers who would like to display very fast motion videos captured by fast frame rate cameras such as Phantom 65, For-A FT-ONE, and RED EPIC Dragon.
