Three-dimensional video technologies were first developed at Carnegie Mellon University under the project called "Virtualized Reality;" Zaxel has a license with CMU. Zaxel has developed this technology much further than the initial Carnegie Mellon development, including:
  • Incorporation - March 1998.
  • 1000x more processing efficiency
  • Much higher image quality
The resulting technology is protected with patents and/or trade secret status. All Zaxel technology is protected by patents, trade secrets or a combination thereof. As new technology is developed, intellectual property protection will be secured.
