of lossless HD video by up to 1/3, bringing the datarate into the range
usable with low-cost storage systems. Zaxel's HD Lossless Video Capture

Zaxel ZLC (Zaxel Lossless Compression) to give you bit-for-bit certainty

High-definition Video Capture System Components:
- The Sony DXC-H10 HDTV camera (optional)
- PC Workstation with Video Capture Card (included)
- Zaxel Video Capture Software (included)
- HDTV Format Convertor (optional)
Workstation Specs:
- Dual Pentium III PC
- 512-2GB RAM
- 4+ Internal ATA100 Hard Disk Drives in a software RAID
• No Hardware RAID card or External
RAID necessary
• External RAID may be optionally
added to increase storage
- HD SDI or HD RGB video capture card
- Up to two hours of video can be stored on a PC workstation; additional
storage and archive options are available
Supported I/O Specs:
- Inputs can be HD SDI or HD RGB, though with a convertor, just about
any format can be used
- Outputs can be HD SDI, HD RGB, or composite
- Can capture color bit depths from 8 bits per color channel to 16
bits per color channel—easily one of the highest bit depths
in the industry
- If using Sony DXC-H10, its native HD format is 1035i with HDRGB outputs
• Otherwise, any of the ATSC standards can be used
- System can capture single frames and video
Application Software:
Zaxel offers a complete suite of capture, playback, and management
tools:
- ZWinCap - a video capture program that captures, compresses, and
stores to disks in real time
- Zzip - a compression type and image type converter
- Zshow - a player that handle the ZLC compression format
